Bio

Master Sergeant Edward K. Jervis was born in Philadelphia, PA. He then entered the United States Army in March 2005 and completed Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Moore, Georgia.

Master Sergeant Jervis’ assignments include: 2-325 Airborne Infantry Regiment 82nd ABN DIV where he deployed as a Rifleman, 1-504 Parachute Infantry Regiment 82 nd ABN DIV where he served as an Infantry Scout Fire Team Leader, Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant, 1-13 th IN REG where he served as a Drill Sergeant, the United States Drill Sergeant Academy where he served as a Drill Sergeant Leader, 1-4 IN in Hohenfels, Germany where he served as a Platoon Sergeant, Scout Platoon Sergeant, Battalion Operations NCO and First Sergeant, 3-39 th IN where he served as a First Sergeant, 2-3 Security Forces Assistant Brigade where he served as a First Sergeant. He deployed three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

His military education includes: Company Commanders and First Sergeant Course, Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Master Leaders Course, SHARP Foundation Course, Basic Combatives Course, Tactical Combatives Course, Drill Sergeant Academy, Safety Officers Course, Airborne School and Jumpmaster School.

His awards and decorations include: The Meritorious Service Medal (3), the Army Commendation Medal (5), Army Achievement Medal (3), Iraq Campaign Medal (4CSS), Meritorious Unit Citation (1), the Superior Unit Award (1), Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, Parachutist Badge. MSG Jervis is a member of the SGT Morales Club.
