Program

Cadets exercising on the beach The Four Year Program begins with Basic Course Instruction. This part of the program offers students an overview of the role and organization of the Army. As part of the Basic Course Program Cadets have the option to participate in the Leadership Laboratory. Collective, practical application of activities in the Leadership Laboratory include : Physical Training and Conditioning, Rappelling, Rope Bridges, Field Training, Land Navigation, First Aid, Basic Rifle Marksmanship.

Freshman Military Science I

Sophomore Military Science II

  • Applied Leadership Theory
  • Communications
  • Principles of War
  • Military Operations and Tactics
Starting their Junior year, Cadets are then placed in the Advance Course. This part of the program is designed for the application of Leadership theory in practical scenarios that junior officers may encounter. As future officers of the Army, Cadets are placed in bigger leadership positions and are expected to take charge with more responsibilities. Between their Junior and Senior year Cadets can expect to attend Advance Camp testing their practical knowledge. Upon completion of Advance Camp they can expect to plan Leadership Laboratories for their unit, preparing the transition from college into the Army.

Senior Military Science IV

  • Training the Force
  • Military Justice
  • Ethical Decision Making
  • Personnel Management
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Post Installation Support
  • Military Operations and Tactics
Qualified freshmen and sophomores may enroll in Basic Course Instruction without incurring any military service related commitment.

*** Students who missed MS I and MS II may attend Basic Camp in order to continue in the Advanced Course.
